Abstract
Submit your abstract to WREC2026 and have the opportunity to present your research at the conference. If accepted, authors can present as an oral or poster presentation.
Please read the guidelines before submitting.
Late abstract submissions will be considered.
Your abstract should be submitted in the following format:
- Introduction
- Methodology
- Results and Discussion
- Conclusion
Word limit: 350 words.
Begin with a brief Introduction, providing background on the research topic, stating the research problem or question, and highlighting the significance and objectives of the study.
The Methodology should describe the research approach, data sources, tools, and techniques used, along with any models, simulations, or frameworks applied.
The Results and Discussion section should summarise key findings, interpret their relevance to the research question, and compare them with previous studies if applicable.
Conclusion should highlight the main contributions of the study, discuss its implications, acknowledge any limitations, and suggest future research directions.
Abstract & Poster Review Process
Abstracts submitted for presentation at the Conference will be reviewed. Authors will be advised of their acceptance and presentation type by 15 November, 2025.
The review criteria include:
- Significance/importance of the topic
- Aims and objectives
- Quality of analysis/coherence of argument
- Relevance of findings for theory/policy/practice
- Clarity/readability
- Overall evaluation (including contribution)
Publication
All papers submitted by the designated deadline and in the required format will undergo review by the academic review board. Selected papers will be forwarded for peer review and potential publication in a special issue of a high-ranking journal. All other papers will be published online in Elsevier’s proceedings, which include PlumX Metrics and indexed in Google.
Submission Types and Guidelines
Once you submit your abstract, a review will be conducted and invited to submit for full paper. If selected, you may decided to submit:
- Short Papers (up to 5000 words)
Must include an abstract, introduction, results/discussion, and references. Limited figures are allowed. - Full Papers (up to 7500 words)
Should comprehensively describe the research with detailed analysis, visuals, and findings.

All submissions will undergo peer review by the Scientific Committee according to the journal requirements. Authors of accepted papers will be notified via email and will be required to revise their submissions in accordance with reviewer feedback.
Publication and Indexing
All accepted papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings under the following terms:
- Proceedings will be published by SSRN, part of Elsevier.
- All papers will be published in the website SSRN www.ssrn.com/index.cfm/en/conferences/
- Each paper will receive a unique DOI via CrossRef
- Indexed by Google Scholar and Semantic Scholar
- Permanently archived in SSRN website, a leading digital preservation service

Post-Conference Publication Opportunities
- Special issue of Energy for Sustainable Development Journal on “Renewable Energy for a Zero Carbon Future- Progress and Pathways to 2030” under the Guest Editorship of Prof Tania Urmee and Associate Professor GM Shafiullah and Associate Professor Martin Anda (Murdoch University, Australia).
- In consultation with the conference organizers and the Editors-in-Chief of Journal of Climate Finance and Economic Analysis and Policy authors of the best conference papers will be invited to submit their papers to a regular issue of the associated Journals.
Full Paper Submission
Interested authors can submit their research papers (in PDF files) no later than 30 January 2026, via the website linked here.
Presentation Formats
- Oral (In-Person): 15 minutes
- Oral (Virtual): 10 minutes
- Poster: Display boards of 90 cm (H) × 70 cm (W)
All presenting authors must be registered for the conference.
Registration Requirements
At least one author per paper must register and pay by the Regular Registration deadline for the work to appear in the proceedings and program.
Best Paper Awards
Outstanding papers presented at the conference will receive:
- Certificate of Excellence
- 25% discount on a future conference registration
- Offered submission of revised versions to journals (pending additional review)
Copyright and Final Submission
Authors of accepted papers must submit a signed copyright form and Final version by the deadline. Late submissions will not be included for proceedings.
